CAN offers services in six professions: Medicine, Pharmacy, Biological Sciences, Accounting, Engineering, and Information Technology.

Dr. Zainab Shireen
Team Lead - Medicine
Before establishing his practice in Ontario, Dr. Zainab Shireen served as a Clinical Associate physician in multiple hospitals in Alberta, managing complex acute care and stabilizing patient outcomes in fast-paced clinical environments. Recognizing a critical gap in provincial healthcare accessibility, she spearheaded a major telemedicine initiative designed to deliver comprehensive care to patients across Ontario, ensuring equitable medical access for rural and underserved communities alike.
Driven by a passion for social impact beyond the clinic, Dr. Zainab Shireen is the founder and visionary behind the Career Advisory Network (CAN). This non-profit organization is dedicated to assisting internationally trained professional graduates navigate the complex Canadian system, offering vital mentorship and strategic pathways for seamless career integration. Through both her medical practice and his community-driven initiatives, Dr. Zainab Shireen remains steadfastly committed to advancing healthcare and empowering the next generation of professional leaders in Canada.

Academic & Scientific Contributions: Earned a Ph.D. in Physics and Astronomy from York University (2017). His research specializes in atmospheric remote sensing, using satellite spectrometers to monitor greenhouse gases, clouds, and climate systems.
Engineering & Climate Leadership: Holds a Master of Engineering (M.Eng.) in Power Engineering. He serves as the Executive Director of Epic Climate Green (ECG) Inc., driving green technology solutions and environmental sustainability.
Educational Leadership: Holds senior academic roles at Epic College of Technology, integrating physics and emerging engineering technologies into applied education curriculum.
Public Service & Professional Standing: Appointed to official advisory roles via Canadian Government Orders in Council. He is officially recognized as a Professional Physicist (P.Phys.) by the Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP).
His major awards are: Queen Elizabeth II Graduate Scholarship in Science and Technology, York University, Postdoctoral Fellowship, Vernon Oliver Stong Scholarship, Dr. Ralph Nicholls Award and Multiple Best Teacher and Performance Excellence Awards

Systems & Network Engineering: Expert in industrial power design (Argus Technologies) and IT infrastructure management (CompTIA A+/Network+ certified).
Cross-Disciplinary Technical Precision: Diverse experience ranging from blue-water maritime navigation as a 2nd Mate Deck Officer to biomechanical engineering as a medical prosthetic technician in New York.
